On November 30th, 2022, Shanghai Lixin Appraisal Co., Ltd. (Lixin) donated 100,000 RMB to the Education Development Foundation of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) to support the scientific research and talent cultivation of the Research Center for Corporation Value under the School of Business Administration (SBA) of ZUEL and boost the development of the asset appraisal discipline of ZUEL. The donation ceremony was held online with the participation of Yang Weitun, Chairman of Lixin, Da Ning, Director of the Alumni Work and Social Cooperation Department of ZUEL and Secretary General of the Education Development Foundation, Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean of SBA, Professor Wen Hao, Associate Dean of SBA, Professor Wang Haisu, Chief of the Research Center for Enterprise Value, as well as representatives of the supervisor group for masters of asset appraisal of ZUEL and Lixin. The ceremony was hosted by Associate Dean Wenhao.
At first, Secretary General Da Ning, on behalf of the Education Development Foundation, delivered a speech introducing the basic situation of the foundation and expressing his gratitude to Lixin for its donation. Secretary Wang Hualu, in her speech, introduced the history and current situation of the development of our university's asset appraisal discipline and major. On behalf of all faculties and students of SBA, he expressed our gratitude to Lixin for its long-term support to the development of our university's asset appraisal discipline, and hoped to further cooperate in exploring new modes of cooperation of industry, university and research institute, and creating new achievements.Chairman Yang Weitun's speech introduced the current situation of Lixin and its long-term cooperation with the asset appraisal research team of ZUEL. He expressed that Lixin promotes the development of China's asset appraisal industry by supporting the academic research of universities' research teams while sustaining its own development. On behalf of the Research Center for Corporation Value, Prof. Wang Haisu expressed his gratitude to Lixin for the donation. After reviewing the cooperation with Lixin and fruitful results over the years, he believed that the development of the Research Center for Corporation Value was inseparable from the support of industry organizations, and the Center would further strengthen the cooperation of industry, university and research institute to contribute to theoretical research and talent cultivation of asset appraisal in China.
For a long time, Lixin, the practice base for cultivating postgraduates of the professional degree in asset appraisal of ZUEL, has established a good industry-university-research cooperation relationship with the Research Center for Corporation Value of ZUEL.The former Chairman, Ms. Zhang Meiling, the current Chairman, Mr. Yang Weitun, and the Chief Appraiser, Ms. Shu Ying, serve as the cooperative supervisors for masters in asset appraisal. ZUEL has also sent a large number of outstanding talents, who have become the backbone of the company, to Lixin.
The donation of 100,000 RMB research fund by Lixin to the Center would be used for continuously carrying out research on intangible assets of GEM listed companies and cultivating talents, which was not only an exploration to further strengthen the cooperation of industry, university and research, but also a promotion to the development of the asset appraisal discipline of our university as well as the interaction between theoretical research and appraisal practice.
