A new journey always followed by new responsibilities. Representatives from the faculty of various majors in the school of Management attended the meeting and gave an introduction for the freshmen.
In Shouyi hall, lecturer Wanhua from Business Administration major, lecturer Yao Shengbao from Business Administration (Business Analysis) major, lecturer Ran Yaxuan from Marketing major, lecturer Tang Yipeng from Human Resources Management major, lecturer Caolili from Logistics Management major and lecturer Jiang Yiran from E-commerce major made specific professional introductions for the 22nd grade students of the School of Business and Administration, and the counselor Jingjing presided over the professional introduction meeting. Focusing on professional learning content, teaching strength, professional training system, employment development prospects, and different major characteristics, the lecturers brought specific introductions to each major in turn, fully demonstrating the strong strength of the college and breaking the stereotype of specialty. By analyzing development rules of the enterprises and the current economic environment, they concisely pointed out the future development direction for the freshmen.
The major introduction meeting for 2022 grade students in Economics and Trade department was held in 301 classroom, Wenjin building, Shouyi Campus. Associate professor Yan Wenhui, associate professor Wu Yingna, associate professor Zhao Yao, associate professor Hu Zongbiao, associate professor Xi Yanle, associate professor Yu Lefen, associate professor Tan Zhi, associate professor Xu Jie from Economic and Trade department and counsellor Liu Zhenxing attended the meeting.
Associate Professor Zhaoyao, from Economics and Trade department, Associate Professor Yan Wenshou, from International Economics and Trade department, and Associate Professor Mao Haitao gave specific introductions respectively. With humorous and interesting language, the two professors explained the two majors in detail from the perspectives of major history, faculty pool, core curriculum and after-graduation development, and gave constructive advice on the future planning of the students.
The major introduction meeting of Tourism Management department was held in 301 classroom, Wenjin building. Professor Deng Aimin, associate professor Li Minglong, Associate Professor Zhou Lingxu, Associate Professor Zhang Dapeng, lecturer Renjie and counsellor Zeng Zirong attended the meeting. Professor Deng Aimin, the head of the Department of Tourism Management, introduced the five aspects of major development history, education characteristics, construction effectiveness, major curriculum, and career prospects. Professor Deng’s humorous way of speaking drew a round of applause from the students. Professor Deng said that the Tourism Management major was selected into the first batch of national first-class undergraduate majors, and is the only major in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law to enter the top ten of the soft science ranking, with excellent faculty pool, outstanding major characteristics, fruitful scientific research achievements and sound talent training. At the same time, the Party Branch of the Department of Tourism Management has solidly promoted the major construction led by party building, rooted in field knowledge to alleviate poverty, kept the original intention of party building, and was approved as the “National Model Party Branch of Party Building Work” with excellent results. In addition, Professor Deng also talked about his original intention in engaging in the tourism industry that is committed to doing a good job for the people’s happy life in this industry, which based on his professional experience. Finally, Professor Deng showed the freshmen the development achievements of Tourism Management department students, and encouraged them to work hard so as to lay a solid foundation, and at the same time to make an academic study plan, leading to achieve a wonderful life.
The introduction meeting of Agricultural Economy Management was held in 305 classroom, Wenjin building. Professor Zheng Jiaxi, Vice President, Professor Wu Haitao, Vice President, Professor Chen Yuping, Associate Professor Deng Yuanjian, Associate Professor Cui Xufeng, Professor Song Min, Dr. Sun Huichun and Dr. Shi Zhanwen attended the meeting. Sun Huichun introduced the major of Agricultural Economy Management in detail from three aspects: the basic situation of the major, the training goal and characteristics of the major, the career prospects and the outstanding alumni. First of all, teacher Sun Huichun gave a detailed explanation from the construction history, faculty, the research direction and research results of Agricultural Economy Management major, leading students could have a more comprehensive understanding of the major. What’s more, Sun Huichun explained the discipline orientation and cultivation requirements of agriculture and forestry economic management for the students, hoping that everyone can becomea composite talent with “proficient in three-rural areas field, excel in management, skillful at law” and sentiment of “three rural areas”.
In the question and answer part, students positively put forward their questions about the different major content, competition practice, and development prospects, and received patient answers from the teachers. The atmosphere was lively and there was a lot of applause.
