On the afternoon of July 14, Zheng Hougui, Director of the Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology came to SBA for the symposiums on the management and team building of the scientific research. Huang Juan, Director of Personnel, ZUEL, Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the SBA, Fei Xianzheng, Associate Dean, Shi Junwei, director of the Department of Business Administration, Wan Hua, associate director of the Department, Fang Jingjing, visiting scholar of "Light of the West" of ZUEL, attended the symposium presided over by Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SBA.
First of all, Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SBA, on behalf of the whole School, extended a warm welcome to Zheng Hougui, Director of the Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology and his delegation for their visit to SBA.
On behalf of ZUEL, Huang Juan, Director of the Personnel of ZUEL warmly welcomed the Director Zheng Hougui and his delegation. After a brief introduction to the "Light of the West" Visiting Scholars Program and its implementation in our university, she pointed out that the Program is another important link for our university to strengthen the in-depth cooperation with western China. Then she congratulated Fang Jingjing, Deputy Director of the Institute of Investment and Financing of the Institute for Text Industry and Information Technology, for her success of completing her one-year visit to our university. Besides, Huang Juan also gave a detailed introduction to the construction of high-end think tanks in ZUEL, and hoped that Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology could cooperate with ZUEL on ongoing research.
Zheng Hougui, Director of the Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology, expressed his sincere gratitude to SBA for organizing this symposium during the summer vacation. He briefly introduced the development of Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology, and its main responsibilities, including promulgating corresponding policies for local government departments, formulating research reports, providing support to achievements, and policy advice. Since its establishment, the Institute has taken root in Guangxi and served Guangxi with a large number of high-quality think tank results, providing solid intellectual support for the high-quality development of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. As a young but promising think tank, the Institute hoped to do a better job in scientific research management and other aspects in the multi-level cooperation with Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
The Associate Dean of SBA Fei Xianzheng briefly introduced the organizational structure and scientific research work of the School, and emphasized that scientific research work should be given priority from the system construction level. Academics should be viewed in a comprehensive manner as papers and topics were equally important in the scientific research evaluation system and system construction. He also had wide exchanges with the visiting mission in terms of the internationalization, response to the call of CPC, self-construction and climate for scientific research of SBA.
Professor Shi Junwei was the co-supervisor of Fang Jingjing, a visiting scholar of "Light of the West". He gave a systematic explanation of Fang Jingjing's visit in the past two semesters. As the first co-supervisor of ZUEL to accept the visit of "Light of the West" visiting scholars, Professor Shi introduced the overall management, study arrangements, research work, academic training, team activities, campus life, support from the schools and university of the visiting scholars. Fang Jingjing was highly commended for her learning ability, scientific research strength and comprehensive quality improvement during visiting term.
The "Light of the West" visiting scholar Fang Jingjing expressed her deep gratitude to her supervisor Professor Shi, the SBA and the whole university for their care and support. She thanked Professor Shi for his unreservedly imparting of scientific research experience to her and his training methods, including theoretical study, participation in projects and group meeting sharing, etc. Other professors of SBA agreed on the managerial style, discussion modes and climate of scientific research projects, and they hoped that the experience, training mode and achievements learned during this visit would be carried forward.
At the end of the symposium, Huang Juan, Director of Personnel, issued a domestic visiting scholar certificate to Fang Jingjing. They two took a group photo to memorize this day.
Finally, Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SBA, pointed out that this symposium was rich in content and important in topics, which would lay the foundation for the follow-up cooperation between Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology and SBA of ZUEL. He held that the "Light of the West" Visiting Scholars Program would surely play an increasingly important role as a bridge in the cooperation between ZUEL and western regions like Guangxi. And he hoped that Guangxi Institute for Industry and Information Technology could carry out all-round cooperation with SBA in scientific research, industry-university-research cooperation, personnel training, and think tank construction.
